The Design of a Master of Public Health Professional Development Course During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Application of the Salmon Model

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has highlighted the need for well-trained public health workers to interpret evidence, make informed decisions, and disseminate information general public. As courses in Ontario universities have moved online due this pandemic, instructors were required simulate their teaching while maintaining student engagement. Previous research shown that there is a lack of description development courses. such, objective article outline layout Professional Development Studio course offered Masters Public Health program at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario. We use Salmon model, previously described by colleagues 2013, form outline. The model provides five-stage framework concise, engaging, impactful course.
